Vaux-com and Zafira 2008 mileage correction: is it possible?
I have op-com interface with latest vaux-com software. My instrument cluster lost display and it shows no mileage etc. I think the LCD is dead due to poor removal to install new LEDs to the dash.
My old (faulty) cluster reads 84xxx miles
I bought new Instrument cluster (arriving today) and it has 65xxx mile on it, as the seller said. So my question is this:
Can I correct my new cluster to read 84xxx using Op-com China clone?
for your information, my car is zafira life 2008 semi-automatic.
I hope someone has the answer.

No, it is not possible. You can set mileage once, as long it is below 250km. As soon over 250km it is impossible to set new mileage via Opcom. Eeprom job!

Ehhh, this is unfortunate. Ok then, can I swap eeproms so the new cluster has the old cluster eeprom chip?
Thank you

Yes the two clusters are identical in everything. I will try swapping and post results. The only thing I am concerned about is the mileage/display LCD. I think it is extremely sensitive especially the ribbon cable. I removed the old cluster to install the LEDs (engine light and engine spanner light - removed by the previous owner), when I installed the two LEDs (I took them from other locations from same cluster as I didn't have the new LEDs) reassembled everything, booom, the LCD is blank with very dimmed light showing some dimmed numbers. So, do you have any advice as how to safely swap eeproms without damaging the mileage LCD?
Thank you
