Hi everyone.

I'm trying to write to a 2012 bmw x1 MT (EDC17CP02) using a kess V2.

I can read the original file and i have sent this to a tuner, my problem is after writing the new file my car won't start.

I'm able to write my original file back and the car starts fine but i'm not sure what the problem is here. Is it to do with the TPRO? and what can i do to combat this?

If so, how are companies like bluefin superchips able to write via obd?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Tprot, you have chanche the car start again and you are able to write ori file. Normaly you cannot write back ori file if you switch ignition off or try to start.
Ik you do this with fgtech, he give a warning message do write ori back and not turn off ignition.

Open ecu, read with tricore and all is ok.
Bmw edc17 after 2008 have tprot for do this job over obd.

Kess geniune have new protocol and read virtual and you write only cabiliration are of the flash. Then all is ok.
