Hello,

My car won't start after (probably) shorting it's cover to battery. ECU EDC16C34.

What was observed by me:
- Communication with all onboard computers established via Lexia
- ECU had 3 faults: problem with EGR (already known), upper camshaft sensor (new) and A/C pressure sensor (new). After erasing only fault from A/C pressure sensor appears again
- During crancking there was periodically strange noise, like "teeth skipping"? I dont have idea how to compare it. Sometimes it's crancking well, sometimes with this sound (it appears few seconds after starter runs).

At this time, all electrical diagram will be very helpful for me. I would like to investigate starter issue. Can anyone share it?
Most intresting for me are BSM and ECU connections.
Citroen C4 1.6HDi 90HP with EDC16C34 ECU.
I have open ECU but I don't saw anything intresting, even no signs of broken wires.
Has anyone ony idea what might be broken?

Hi,
It helps, car starts perfectly! I'm suprised that i don't though about it earlier. Thank you very much!

There is still 1 fault realted with A/C pressure sensor. It is power supplied (5V after ingnition on) but Lexia shows 1bar pressure (day before was 3 bar when A/C off). So probably died.

From now the most important thing is to repair this ECU due to some existing modifications into SW (EGR off etc). I don't want to pay again after ECU change.
Maybe it is possible to get existing flash in my "broken" ECU and flash the new one with the same ID numbers?
I'm not a specialist in SW modifications but only flashing should not be a problem for me. It is possible to do this?

From the other hand...are there any common places inside EDC16C34, which may be damaged after such action with shorting cover to VCC?
Will be better for me to repair my ECU. I opened the cover, but i dont saw any suspected places...

Hello Friend
maybe the best solution is an ECU on the second hand, and clone eprom and flash using BDM programmer.
