Can you explain what this means, please? (I have no technical knowledge).

Ok mate on some Clarion radios .. there is another barcode ...It Starts with C70000......If you don't have one (and not all clarions do) Then you cannot Generate a code ....The next question was going to be Can you read the eeprom and post it ...( I have a notion what your reply will be ).. Other option is a local Decoder ...sorry

PS If you can read it ... Its a S2914 (93c46 rotated pin eeprom)

Now I think you have to expain him what is ROTATED EEPROM ;-)

I'll try
normal chip is

8 7 6 5
- - - -
- - - -
1 2 3 4

rotated is

6 5 4 3
- - - -
- - - -
7 8 1 2

Good Luck

Your code came up like this:
5555/1555

Or you need to provide us with more info about your vehicle like:
Model Number
Radio Model
Serial Number from the back of the Radio Unit and all the other bits of details to be able to help you.

EH! I think that if you looked a bit closer mate you would see .....
PU 9594A
96141 427-80
161688
CL0081P0025844

Now PU ..prefix is for a CLARION radio ...You now Have all the Information that has already been posted ... AND ..Your code Came up "5555/1555"...Sorry mate I do this for a living ....YOU NEED TO READ THE EEPROM ...I have heard of a calc out there that is SUPPOSED to generate a code from the number Posted above ....But I very much doubt that it's filtered down to the public domain ....And will only belive it when I have a copy .... THEN I will say ..your code is mate ..( not read the "?$%*&in eeprom)

Thanks this will explain why in the last 5 or so years Meat-Head Motors have never managed to decode a clarion radio by the serial number

Serial Number Decoding Service from Code-Busters (http://www.code-busters.co.uk/serial_number_decode.html)

(5th pic down is what Me Cool-As-Ice is refering to thanks, dude)

Hi D,
I only used these set of Le+Dig to generate the code:
CL0081P0025844
I agree with you that we need the EEprom bin file to generate the Right code if the one been provided not correct. If the Poster came back and said it worked I will share the Decoder with you and all the rest of Visitors here On Digital-Kaos
Regards and keep up the good!
To the poster another to try here:

Okay, I hope the poster will try this and let us know if it worked for Him/Her:

6412

How I got it? You need to enter the last four Digits from this Code: CL0081P0025844 which is : 5844 and calc. The result will be 6412 and hope that will work.

Keep the good work D :dito:

Found one ..got there radio code ...And is now probably out cruising in there car listening to ..who knows what .. And is unaware of the consternation that they have caused by asking in the first place.....But well done for hanging in there with the topic ...:flowers:

You absolutely right D and they are racing around town, and not bothering to say what their outcome is/are in this matter. But we are not doing just for one poster we are doing for all decent poster and help seeker!

What about the martech RCD Tools V1.5.9, does it do any better than tools we had from DK?

Your opinion and other are welcome.
