BMW X5 year 2000 mileage change only cluster possible?

Hi,

I've got a small question, do I have do all EWS, LKM and cluster to program the X5 year 2000, or is it possible to do the cluster only like the E46. No jump back old value?

As i can remember, if you change mileage only in cluster, you will see red dot in mileage counter.

I thought they were stored in the keys etc etc whilst on the subject i had an L200 (2009) that shows and E on the display briefly when the dash is powered on anyone come across this?

a) ring the stealer plead ignrance

b) how many miles it done, eg need a service and check the bodily fulids

c) Exhauset? Take it for a thrash to see if clear out will do anything

d) RTFM - check owners manual

e) e-mail maker, call then chunts at same time.

Primary you ask for dashboard,OK when you change mileage in cluster no jump back!Remember you have mileage in EWS,LKM and if car go to workshop ....

Thank you mate ,,,but he poster knows that its in EWS LCM and keys ... He just wanted to know if the Miles would jump back if he only did the dash .... They wont ... There is a very slight chance that the Manipulation dot will Illuminate ... But very slight ...

it had done 12`000 put back to 100 it is due a service though
