EDC16C9 eeprom crc?!

Hello,

i have ECU from Opel Zafira B EDC16C9. I need change VIN code inside EEPROM. OP-COM is broken. I changed VIN manually in HEX editor, but i dont now if its necessary calculate new checksum in eeprom?

For proper working ecu don't need vin nr! U can use other tool to change the vin nr!

Or U can change by editor and try in the car, can't lock immo
