friends please am very very urgently i need of reducing the odometer of this vw golf3 to 08 .dash no.:1 J0919 88OC MMO. it is a motometer .attached is the file from 24c02

What does it read ...and what do you want it to read mate ...?

i just want it to read [08].must i provide the original reading?this is what the owner of the car needs.but if i must get it ,iwill do that

i have now gotten the original reading,it is 155668 ,i want it to become 08

08..??????/ not 8KM's what exactly do want it to read ...?

To save time mate ..look at line 50... 01 26 01 26 01 26 ....... to the end of the line ..right 01 26 .. Byte swap to 26 01 ... in hex ..convert to decimel...= 9729 X 16 = 155,664....( Close enough) ... whatever KM's you require .. divide by 16 .. convert to Hex ..and byte swap..... edit it to your original ... Job done...

You can only get zero Or 16 km's mate ....:canabis:....Either 00 00 for nowt or 01 00 for 16 .... you choose mate...

i have tested the dump you gave me ,the odometer is now 0 Is there no way to make it 8 because this is the exactly what the owner of the car needs. please the car is golf 4,set it from 155668 to 08155668

The maths work in Multiables of !6.. You cannot Put in 1/2 ...in hex ... So the Answer is ... Drive it for 8 KM's mate .....:)

That you have mate .... (ever thought of being a Baker)... I will take a chance here and GUESS that Its Supposed to read 81,668 km's....?.. Replace the line 50.. with F0 13 F0 13 F0 13 ... till the end .....:toilet:

On second thoughts ... Here put this in .....

to premierD,

In your explain in a other thread, i had to use Xor FFFF to calculate the km's.

But i see in this that is not needed. has every make or model its one calculating method?
