volvo xc90 - 2006 odometer swap

Have VOLVO XC90 from 2006

dash is not working anymore.

i have NO BDM access for reading the 9S12 is, probably the micro is 'dead'


Connecting a USED odometer in the car....will it work ? or is it necessary to teached-in/learning to the car ?

If You will use the same year cluster from the same model than not will be the problem, just look not take S60,S80, V70
They is the same, but software inside different.
Just plug &play
If You look for R desing clusters, be careful R clusters have an additional LED lighting at the top of the unit, they will not work when the DIM is plugged in.

yes mate will have to teach the odometer and immo timing if you repair your car will not start if dash off the car, I think!

car start WITHOUT dash, there is NO immo in VOLVO dashes

i will buy donor cluster with 100% same part numbers...

I think here not will be any problems.

If the used cluster has higher milage than your car then the CEM, the main module for the car, gets its milage record upwritten to the higher milage. If the used cluster has lower milage then you are OK

No tool for this job like swap cluster in old volvo.
Swap cluster only new and diller away,and I think not for this type dash.

Only if full clon in bench or obd2 away,no more its maximum!!!

update as promised.............if donor have same numbers = NO need for coding / plug & play , only adjust km by OBD or BDM
