Ktag EDC/MED17 Reading problem over can

I have a problem with a ktag clone when trying to read EDC/MED17 ecu’s. It works just fine reading it with a probe but trying with direct connection it doesn’t work. Problem is med17.5.1 doesn’t allow probe connection only direct connection. Does anyone know what the problem is on these clone ktags trying to read these ecu’s?
