Ford ranger t6 2015 mileage

i just pulled apart a 2015 ford rnager cluster and there is a chip on the back and it has 42/c written on it

is this the 24c16 chip
i removed it and tried to read it but all i get is all FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

i have not removed the needles

is there a proper 24c16 chip on the underside of the circuitboard which means to remove the needles

i found out this model has the big chip and can only be done by x100 pro or smok
i tried x100 pro obdstar but it wouldnt write the kms

i might buy the x100 pro from xtool and try that
