Hi all.
Need your advice regarding my next programmer for MCU.
Till now i am using UUSP but it is no longer covering my needs.
I was looking at the UPA-USB Device Programmer-S,
and i saw that it was not updated since January 2018.
Does any one knows if Elrasoft are working on something new worth waiting ?

Thanks Steve for your reply. Let me explain, and you'll correct me if i am wrong.
At first, i had the UPA23 that works with serial cable. Then i bought the UPA-USB (UUSP) that works with usb cable.
Later on, Penko stopped updating the UPA-USB, and i got the impression there is a new hardware named UUSP-s.
I don't have this UUSP-s hardware (or software), and i am considering buying it now.
My need is to program newer MCU then i have in my UUSP.
I was wondering, and i need the advice of the forum's members, if this is the best tool i can get or i may find
more comperhensive device lists in other tools. I am asking that because i don't see updates coming from Elrasoft for more than a year.

If you dont have Id advice you to buy XPROG.
In my opinion for LAB working:
XPROG
UPA
They are a must have
I recomend to use a simple eeprom programmer ( 5 bucks) for every day use reading eeproms.
This way you only use UPA/ XPROG WHEN really needed, I mean MCUS and so on.
Of course you will need many other programmers but for more specific jobs.
Hope it helps

I am looking to purchase a programmer for MCU to be found in clusters.
Like 9S12, SPC, R5F etc.
I looked at ELNEC site, but their products are very expensive.
What about SMOK ? I got the JTAG from SMOK and i use it for FUJITSU mcu. It may be that it worth to buy the other packages from them. The point is that UUSP-S is cheaper then all the others, because it has all the MCU and there is no need to buy packages for each family of MCU.
