No ...is the short answer mate .... Your OPCOM ..interface is for OPEL cars .....And the long answer is still NO .....

I think that I have Given you the Information on several ocassions already mate .....OPCOM... or OPEL COM ...Is for OPEL derived Vehicles .....Yes is says OPEL in the Licznik program software ... Because it covers them ...PUT in An opel Dump ... It will read the KM's ... Show you where the KM's are in the dump ... and give you the oppertunity to Alter them....( It used to say on Bus tyres Made with the best India Rubber...).. But they were not going to India ..
Do you now understand ....?Your OPCOM Clone .. will not do Anthying but OPELS....

Using a removed male OBD plug from a rover, to attach to the KKL interface I wired up as such.

OBD2 KKL
Pin 16 - 12v

Not having a lot of luck in reading Delco CDR500
radio code through KKL - K-Line Interface today.
Thanks Gepa for your advice, it's encouraged me
to keep at it - so as to resolve issues.

I've put licznik aside for the moment and concentrated
on the 'delco.exe' software.
Initially 'delco.exe' complained of not being able to
see the virtual serial port.

I think I've managed to resolve this by using a different
USB port on the computer, and it has now also been recognised by using
the test function within Ross Tech's VAG software.
However, when I run delco.exe, the screen shows
7F,81,82,9A?
I enter '9A'
It shows another screen, when I enter '1'
According to the instructions, at this point it should
show the dump read by the K-line, instead it just reverts
back to the original prompt "7F,81,82,9A?" after a 3 second
delay.

OK, I've not obeyed the instructions to the letter,
and instead launched the 'delco.exe' application
within a command prompt window, within Windows XP.

I've kept the radio powered off as instructed by the
Lizcnik video - whether this is of any relevance?

Maybe I've got to boot the computer into a Windows DOS disk?
Anyone giving suggestions greatly appreciate.

I don't have a yahoo messanger installed on my computer.
Except that I have already downloaded new version of Licznik but there is the same thing that I cannot open program.I click on Licznik.exe and nothing happens further.
In the KKL cable I changed ept file and installed drivers.
It is now Licznik USB in device manager but even of that I doesn't work.
My system is XP 32-bit

Exactly the same thing tonight KKL-Usb, set usb serial to com 1 and it gave 5 digit code which changed each time I hit read. KKL-Com interface gave 0004 which was wrong??? Is there comport settings we must use? The radio is cd2005

No mate you must do it with the radio out, the soft has the wiring diagram on it, its just +,- and kline, use a 12v psu. Cut a diag plug out of a car your breaking and radio plugs and use that! Simple enough.

I was using Windows XP with SP3 with Licznik 4.7.

The Delco DOS Tool never worked for me under XP, it just keep asking me the device code. But I haven't tried to run this software under Win98 yet.

I had the same problem, I just did the scan about 20 times and took the one which appears most of the time and found it the right code with luck on my first try.

The strange thing, that even happens to me with a COM interface.

Well the title says 4.8, but the post itself is just 4.7. Don't know either where to find 4.8 without dongle.


Which windows does it work on? Tried it on Win7 with XP compatibility but no good.

Licznik should work in Windows XP, the Delco DOS tool seems only to work on Windows 98 (no emulation).

I am trying to use a vagtacho usb cable for licznik, using the files from here: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/39327-Need-LICZNIK-48a-!?p=345782&viewfull=1#post345782

I loaded the ept template using mprog, and installed the drivers included on those files, device is recognized correctly and shows up on device manager as "Licznik USB".

But after trying every com port setting on licznik it always says "cannot initialize port". And in the device manager, on the cable properties I don't have the port settings tabs to select which com port to use.

If I run the licznik version included on that post I linked, without connecting the cable, it says "dongle not detected" and closes, so licznik is detecting the cable, but it just show "cannot initialize port" when I click read km.

Any tips? What drivers did you guys use?

Tried it on a different pc with Win 7 and it picket up the vcp drivers by itself, then I didn't get the "cannot initialize port" error. But after selecting the assigned com port, powering the dash, connecting pin 7 of the obd2 connector to pin 17 of dash, when I click Read KM or Read eeprom on licznik all I get is "ERROR" in the blue display

Hey gyus, i have Renault Laguna 2, i had to change the dash and now my odometer shows more KM than the car is. I want to change the odometer to my original KM. I've used licznik 4.7 and 4.8 without dongle. I've connected the dash as it is shown on the picture, when i press "boot dash" sometimes just restart the dash and then ERROR appear in the program. I used different hardware for the task - VAGCOM 409.1, other schematic which i use for DDT2000 (Renault diagnostic software) that can be connected to normal com port or to usb/com convertor. I've tried both as well as some other KKL schematics too. No luck to connect with the dash. Tried also with Win XP and Win 7, no difference. Can someone give me schematic which works with this dash?

PS: i've tried to connect my old (with single display) and my new dash (with double display), result is the same. Please help!
