It's a 2000 1.6 and when cold it revs to 3000 + rpm, runs fine once warmed up, no codes stored, who knows what the problem is?

look under the inlet fannimold, and look for a rubber pipe which is spilt.

the fact no coeds, ecu can't interrigate it's self, or mechanical fault it can't see.

next to the battery is some earth point, get the largest breaker bar you have, snap them off and replace them for new

Also if you do find a vacuum leak, remove fuse 20 10A red fuse in engine fuse box, and leave out for about 1 minute.
This will allow the adaptions to reset, which will be needed if it has been running with a vacuum leak.

If you can't fix it then make it so nobody else can.

26 foot scaffolding pole should do then lol

If you squirt lots of that "UB40" stuff on them and take say 10 mins to undo them they still snap, would be worth wire brushing the underside of the freds, even doing the hockey cokey, in out, in out snap, so hang round the Olympic Village and see if you can get a rubgy goal post, or a javlin to use.

Got the car in today, sure enough split breather pipe under fannymould, pulled fuze and now it's sorted, thanks again to the lads on kaos,:congrats::congrats::congrats: funny though there was no hissing from the pipe and it ticked over fine when warm, would have expected to have been hunting and hissing so would have found it when it first came in
