Hello ,

I will have a new job.

Need to make a spare key for an BMW X5 E70 from 2007.

I don't know if this is CAS3 or CAS3+ , the car has one key.

I have for the moment only VVDI Prog to read the dump , and FVDI 2018 with the VVDI2 function + key tool.

I have a chance to learn new key from the dump with FVDI if it's CAS3+ ?

read CAS with VVDI and publish it here ,we will tell you if it's CAS3 or CAS3 +

VVDI tell's me if the mask is 0L01Y is CAS3 if its 0L15Y its CAS3+

But on E70 , exsits with only CAS3 ?

you can not do anything from the old key, it's best to read it with VVDI, or xprog

I will read the eeprom with the VVDI Prog , but if it's CAS3+ need even the ISN to write a new key , right ?

And the isn can obtain only from ECU or from working KEY.

So ... didn't worked.


The CAS was an CAS3+ Encrypted. Tried to write with FVDI TagTool ... restult ? One key blocked and that's all :)


So need to buy VVDI2 for sure.

the key can be unlocked

it's an aftermarket key.... didn't find out how to unlock it
