It should be edc16c31...
in the most volvos their is no K line in obd port...
read it on bench with pinout, no boot mode...

check your mpps SW version...? V16 and V18 will do it...
you should connect it direct on bench with 12V... checkout pinout for this edc...

No need bench you can read it via obd just add K line from ecu. If Im not mistaken pin 43 from ecu (small plug) to pin 7 in obd port, but search te internet there are pinouts for that ecu.

Yes, Insert needle in pin 43 in the socket from the ecu and the other side of the needle (with cable) insert in pin 7 from the obd socket. Put MPPS or other tool (i use fgtech clone) and they will read obd.

Hello there,i drive a s80 I 2006, 2.4 D5 163hp. In kess listed its a edc16c31,but its a edc15c11.its wrong listed,so i have done it in protocols under Bosch ME7.1.1 29F400 or 800 (its the same family number 114). Ive connected the ecu directly as shown on the pictures, and the eeprom pin 24 i think-its marked on picture, connected to ground with a 10kohm ressistor, without resistor it wont go into boot mode.... I dont know how it goes with mpps, but i hope this will help you,if its the same ecu
