Hi I bought a nokia n95 for my wife last week 2 things has anyone had problems with the phone re -seting its self during text messaging or flicking through screen? and can you turn up the ear piece volume the wife has said she sometimes has bother hearing folk on the phone

Hi mate i have a n96 dont know about it resetting have u tried doing a factory reset might help, as 4 the vol if its a nokia bluetooth ear piece like mine u turn it up using the buttons on the side of the hand set hope this helps

sounds like its dicked mate, I had an N95 8Gb for about 10 months, just gave to the wife. It is a bullet proof phone, never had an issue with it.

I would go to nokia webiste and download the data suite software and then reflash the phone software that it downloads and offers to you. You will need the data cable to do this though.

Also should add that nailed batteries can cause such things on other nokia phones..

If your wife has the original N95 then it might be the problem of too many programmes run at the same time. If this happens the phone locks and you have to reset or even drop the battery to get any joy. However the newer 8GB version has plenty of cache and doesnt seem to have the same problems. As for the volume. Never had that problem.

If there is use data suite to back up your numbers etc and flash the phone, I have a N95 myself a firmware update will do it a world of good, if still no joy the N95 has a 2 year warranty!:party :

caveman nige hit the nail on the head, i only yesterday changed the battery and flashed latest software, now its sound as a pound.

dont buy a cheapo battery fron china like i did.

i was having the same problems.
