Installing R270+ on 64bit OS?

Uninstall all R270 software + driver packs from programs. (Make sure you uninstall the driverpacks, this is essential)

Reinstall the software as normal, until a prompt asks you to install CP210x Drivers? HERE YOU PRESS NO.

Do NOT run software yet, do NOT connect R270 yet!

Download latest USB to UART drivers from Silabs official website (https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers) (Official and signed drivers), for example if you're trying to install R270+ on Win 7 64bit, you should select Windows 7/8/8.1 (v6.7.6) (https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/software/CP210x_Windows_Drivers.zip).

After you have installed the drivers (make sure you choose the x64 installer), it is safe to connect R270 and it should install the new drivers automatically, assuming that you uninstalled the device driver in the device manager before reading this guide.

Now start R270 software normally, and your device will be recognized and your H/W ID will be displayed.
