Included is a Flash for that part number that's entirely different to yours. Eeprom modified and I hope the car's VIN does indeed end with 42624. :D

Check Inbox. So what's the story behind this situation? Someone tried to update the CAS?

I quess you can say that. Ilost my only key to the car so I went to my local BMW dealer ship and got a new replacement key at a cost $370. The unfortunate part aside from screwing my cas, the car didn't even recognize the new key at all. I called the dealer ship and they said the key is fine sine it was shipped from Germany, and I needed to bring the car in. which I couldn't without towing it in. So I decided to see if I could add the key myself to cas, and the rest you know (dead Cas). I will upload the flash and eeprom you send me and hopefully that will bring my cas back to life. I will report back when I've done that.
Thanks again

I'm half way there! The car is alive, the flash file worked, also the car recognizes the key now and it cranks but still won't start. do you have any ideas.
My sincere thanks for the files and the effort.

You need to scan CAS and ECU for codes and check whether EWS is enabled. What's the key ID? CAS3+ doesn't need alignment but it doesn't hurt to try that.

Hi droidwayne65
I had been working so I hadn't had a chance to work on the the car till last night. I did as you suggested and got no codes on the cas3+ but did however get a code 2f49 from the dme. It says something to the effect of rolling code from cas is not matching. I tried alignment between cas and dme and it tolled me that operation is not POSSIBLE. THe key ID is 09 30 CE 97.

Could you post a current read of CAS eeprom? Found a few more errors, including one associated with that key but would like to see a read.

I think I complicated things a little more. To clean things up a little I went and moved the key 09 30 CE 97 from position 3 to position 4 thinking incase there was a conflict on that position. The car still cranks but won't start. The only code I'm still getting is in the dme 2f49. eeprom file attached

This is the previous read, with more errors fixed. What are you using to add keys?

Tested the new eeprom file and it still the same. The car cranks over but doesn't start. still getting 2f49 code in the dme. when I try to sync cas and dme I get cas transmits invalid rolling code synchronization between dme and cas is not possible

Well this is turning into quite a conundrum. What's the ECU's ISN? The car was running until the key was lost?

The car was working great before I lost the key. As for the ISN the only one I can retreive with BMW commander was this 6D 1F 4D A5 51 95 37 16 25 33 56 81 20 E0 78 12. But I'm not confidant that this is from the DME!
