megane convertible ecu swap help please

I just bought an ecu kit from ebay for my megane 1.6 petrol convertible 2007 .My question is do i need to change the card reader as well as it came with it .I got the engine ecu, body control module, key card and reader Ive fitted it all apart from the key card reader but car will not turn over and it says steering locked turn steering and start but doesnt do anything .Any ideas ??

card reader does not need to change. the fault persists with the steering lock.there is uncertainty, one hundred latch on the kit. need to open and inspect the mechanical part.
