Change ECU Vito 112 CDI

Hi, i have a Dead ECU EDC15C0 in a Vito 112 CDI, i found a new one with same reference.
I want to know if for immo i only need to put the dump 24C04 of old in the new one ?

and does 24C04 contains the parameters and service list, and is it possible to reset it from dump ?

Why not just Put the 24c04 from the Gubbed one .. into the New/secondhand one.... ...?
