Hi fellow members, please could someone have a solution for me, posted previously and tried what members suggested but did not work. All help is greatly appreceaited.

Problem: immo box and key was missing, ecu was still in vehicle.
1 try : got a used immo box and fellow member on dk add key for me but was still not starting.
2 try : got a complete set from a working vehicle and plugged on vehicle start 100%
3 try : so i copy ecu & immo dumps from working set & write back to my set & add another key.

when the key is inserted in ignition , immo light turns off, keys are seen but no start, swinging only.
Did a diagnostic scan & only fault is in ecu: B2799 - engine immobiliser
immo box has no faults, 2 keys recorded.

Tried to do syncro pins on obd plug for 1hour , still no start

posted ecu & immo dumps.

Your immo file is not accepted by tango.
So i am giving you a new virgin file.
Write this in your immobox.

You should be able to ad at least 1 master keys, then sync with engine ecu.
35 min immo sync is fine.

My file is a virgin file!
You still need to program the key.

Make sure that you have a key with correct master transponder.

Turn on with master key, for 5 seconds.
Then turn on-off 5 times.

This should learn this key.
Then do ecu sync.

Best to use techstream with utility to check your system.

p.s the eeprom programming, how many bits?!

@ rob h , thank you for file, tried as said :

1. wrote your file back to immo box.
2. plugged immo box on , led starts flashing, inserted key into ignition, light still flashes.
3. waited 5 secs and then turned key on and off 5 times.
4. light turns solid red , still on , not flashing.

nothing happens after this, light does not turn off, am i doing something wrong.
checked with techstream , shows 2 sub ,2 mast keys , but says unregistered.

614100This is the file, loaded in tango, pre and after made virgin.

The transponder, it is a master, i assume.

I always reset, by obd, or add key by dump.
So i am not sure what techstream should show.
Make a screenshot, the way it is now.
And one with box in virgin state would tell me more.

Try add master key by obd, using techstream utility. (i assume that you have utility)
Either in state it is now, or with box again made virgin.

Here are some screenshot i just made to show you what a programmed key, looks like in techstream.
This is from a functioning starting car.

Hi there

A common problem on the Hilux is the "KEY IN IGNITION SWITCH".
This switch doesn't detect that a key is in. I found many that had the wires cut.
If the switch faulty or disconnected then it will cause the problems you are facing.
