Remove the eeprom off the board and read and post the file here in the forum, this eeprom should be a 93C56 or 66.

hello how do you convert km and miles?

euasmdas121231

42354 km = 26317 miles.

So it should be like this:

0x000080 = 42354
0x000090 = 42354

0x0000C0 = 26317
0x0000D0 = 26317

First enter 42354 in Tachosoft and enter that HEX value in 80 + 90 fields
then enter 26317 in Tachosoft and enter that HEX value in C0 + D0 fields.

Also you can use the online calculator which does everything for you so you don't have to edit your file manually. Just upload the file, enter the mileage you need and download it. Calculator costs 5 euro for a day.
https://www.carhexedit.com/

Also I see that you have got UPA + the eeprom clips. With UPA in most cases you don't even need to unsolder the chip from dashboard. Connect the clip to eeprom (without unsoldering), CHOOSE 3.3V (not 5V) in settings and you can read & edit it without unsoldering.

Also if it doesn't work, try cleaning the contacts of your eeprom with alcohol, contact cleaner, brake cleaner or something like that.
Also try reading it with 3,3V.
And try turning it around, maybe you connected it wrong (red wire on the clip should be on the eeprom pin 1).

Here are 9 different files (40k - 48k), choose any you like, they should be working.
But upload them in x16 bits !!!!!!787374

I really cannot explain this, I am not that experienced, sorry.

But files work fine either you have 080+090 or 080+080.

Maybe someone more experienced can explain this.

ok so just do km to miles then go to tachsoft and put 26317 and put it in fields c0 and d0

That's correct.

For testing & learning purposes you can open one of my files and then try to make the same using the Tachosoft. It will be very similar (not exact because Tachosoft is not 100% accurate, for example if you put 41000 on Tachosoft then it will be like 40955 on dashboard).

So my file can be for example this (which was made using good calculator)
33 06 CC F9
but Tachosoft for same mileage will show this:
3D 06 C8 F9 (just an example)

Both variants will work, but Tachosoft is very often a bit off the mileage you want.

http://hex-works.com/ is very good for editing & comparing bins

Need 1 Xor dimension
And step by step
Start address to ending Xor fix value
If ending then step next Xor dimensio value

so only if you went through 1 xor of work
only then 8x 4byte same
