hi all, today i done an Audi A4, customer original remote key was damaged and did not work.

When i went to car, i tried lonsdor to program remote key, it asked how many remotes, type 1 - press unlock. It did not program.

I plugged in VCDS, the car was showing 0 in the value field for remotes. I typed 1, pressed test, pressed unlock on remote, SAVE, and done.

Was working fine,, customer took car for a drive, i get call the remote stopped working.

I go back to car, the value field showed 0 again,,, so i cleared all fault codes, (some alarm codes where customer had set alarm off in past), and re coded remote.

Working again...for now

my question is, is this common? i told customer that it could have BCM issue, if it is just forgetting the remote this quickly. Remote is original Audi board in aftermarket case and transmitting perfectly.
