EDC16C31 Volvo XC90 processor difference

Hello guys!
Quite stupid question. I need to order a ECU for XC90, numbers doesn’t rly matter in that context.

I remember my friend got some problem with Volvo’s edc16 professor difference. I don’t remember exactly, but I guess he ordered number to number matching ECU but it was equipped with different Processor. Like 563/564 instead of 561/562 family. Can’t ask a friend because he is hiding from the law somewhere, so asking here.

Am I wrong that same-numbered ECUs might have different proc family or I’m right? If I am, then how can I know? Maybe manufacturing date or smth.

Maybe your are thinking about edc16c31 and edc16c34? Stay on edc16c31and your should be good :)

Nope, edc16c31 got two different processors families. The question is if they differe depending on a ecu number or the man dat.
