i bought euroscan for over 2years now but cannot use it becuse i cannot put the software well to work.the first pc i used is pentium 2,the pc can communicate with my euroscan when i powered it on desk.it shows CONNECT ECU READER AND CHECK POWER, then it opens the other screen, but now my pentium 2 pc is dead,i got another pc,pentium 4[intel],i configured window 98 and xp [partitioned],when i used the software,by powering on desk also,it will display as above but will not open the next page, meaning no communication from pc to the hardware.what is the problem?does it means that it must be oldest model pc before euroscan can work?

C:/VISA go to dbcodici right click mouse> properties> advanced>spec. MS-DOS mode you need, click on it.C must be FAT32 and you must have two serial port (no virtual only real serial).

I have previously discussed this on another forum.
Uniscan Euroscan Visa 1.83 fully working on UK cars - OBD-Codes.com (http://www.obd-codes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1583)
Take a look & report back here. I must admit that I neve got it to work on the couple of cars I tried it on, even with proven software. Remember to check your comm ports are not sharing their interrupts. Check in properties that visa is set to run from dos. Best to boot to dos, I set up a boot manager that gave me the opportunity to boot to dos or windows.

Can Uniscan be used to reprogram the remote key? Or is that exclusively done with the examiner?

change Messcode.RUS to Blank.RUS you must also rename the .RUS files in the DIAG_EXE directory

I have had limited success with it. Some good advise here => Uniscan Euroscan Visa 1.83 fully working on UK cars - OBD-Codes.com (http://www.obd-codes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1583)

no need to rename/ just run not the vstart, but dbcodici. well, not sure about the correct exe file, will look tomorrow at work :) but russian uniscan is working in english perfectly with the same adapter... has tried few times when translation to russian is unreadable...

just checked - run vstart.exe for russian version, run dbcodici.exe for english. maybe it depends on firmware version
