1x AKL
1x Customer wanted spare

both 2006 year peugeot 407 CAN 3 button flip remote

tried Lonsdor & MVP PRO to read pin in both situations, all attempts failed.

Is there a known problem with peugeot 407's or have i just been unlucky? i did notice MVP pro gave a message on BSI pin read saying Siemens not supported,, but it even failed trying to read from Engine ECU too, instant fail.

cheers, im guessing if that would work on 407 so should MVP, so i think my cars were just both throwing issues.

Probably tdb is better than MVP for PSA..

Could you connect?
What is the partnumber.
Connecting to can wires, between ECU and bsi is a option.

Some Siemens bsi can be read over obd k-line.

Onces you figure out what bsi you are dealing with.
Then you Will find a solution on d.k.

TDB1000 will do by piecing wires going to ECU you need to buy cables for TDB ( around £30 ) can take a few hours to pull pin if successful

Video shows it being done by OBD but pre 2006 I’d say it’ll be cable job

cheers all, yes both machines would connect, both would fail or freeze at the point of trying to read pin,,

actually,, it might be my fault because i only tried lonsdor CAN pin read options,, i didnt try K line, because i saw remote was CAN, but only after i found out it may still use some old K line technology!!

Ive never removed a BSI from peugeot for EEP work, i have no Transponder programmer in my collection yet, for the price of this job i dont think it would be worth the time unfortunatly. £30 for the pin code is just as easy and the customer already had his car in tesco car park for 1 week before calling me so not urgent

To remove bsi, read eep and put everything back you only need like 30mins?
After you get pin you program key via obd.

Eep should be 95128.
Always desolder eep.i used vvdi prog with clip only for 24cxx on some Audi dashes for akl.read & write well.
Vvdi prog does not have pin calculator for this eep.
I usually post it here on DK and always get help.
There are a few pin calculators for PSA here on dk but never tried.

i know abrites is a dirty word , but there psa pin reading is excellent , 407 is no issue and alot of old kline is very quick also with no need to hack into wires , all by obd .
