Hello everyone

The patient is a Mercedes w211 1.8 petrol. Some mechanic worked on this car before me and decided to swap instrument cluster because it shows "faulty display" message. When that didn't work he brought the car to me. The car runs and drives fine but there is no communication with a bunch of modules. I did a quick check and all fuses are good, speedometer and rev counter work good, AC panel works, (tho compressor itself doesn't because of no communication), radio works, lights work fine, central locking and electric windows also work, key fob works too, so it seems like it's purely CAN communication fault. The only light that is on is the airbag (for obvious reason). If someone can share a wiring diagram for this car I would appreciate it very much. I also attached pictures of the DTC and ECUs that I can communicate with, maybe someone will have an idea where to start.

Thanks

first check from obd2 to can gateway which will be too close from it (under panel) ... as you can communicate with these modules so i think powertrain network is good (green can wires) and try to diagnose brown can wires and their modules (interior modules) like door modules and upper and lower control panels and look for these pics ... if same problem try to disconnect one by one (interior modules) may be one module is shorted and making interior brown can network faulty and not transmitting data between each other and even scan tool
