im trying to reset mileage on a CAS3 module, ive done this many times with vvdi and never any problems, but i have this cas module 61.35-9147222-01 ver 9262360 and no matter which programmer i use (cgdi, vvdi, multi tool, acdp) they all say mileage reset succeeded, but when i connect to bench, mileage doesn't change. i tried on 2 other cas3+ modules i have laying around and they worked no problem. i tried many times on this module and no idea why this one wont reset. any help appreciated i included original NON modified dumps.

what im doing is:
read eeprom VVDI, edited eeprom with multi tool, wrote back to cas with vvdi - didnt work
read with vvdi, load eeprom on r270 software, edited, saved, wrote to cas with vvdi - didn't work
used CGDI to reset mileage - didn't work
acdp - reset mileage - didn't work

now i am using a cluster with modified m35080 eeprom and mileage default coded to cas, so no tamper dot. i had no issues with 2 other cas modules using these steps.

thanks for the reply, but i tried your file and still displaying original mileage. cluster eeprom is adjusted so not the issue, i confirm by testing other modules and mileage change no problem. very strange this is only cas i had this issue with.

what is the LTA module? i am testing this on a bench setup so only CAS and KOMBI are connected. ive done this several times and never any issues, both KOMBI and CAS are adjusted correctly and vin matching. i thought maybe cluster is issue so i tested on another cas i have and adjusted mileage on both and worked fine, tried on another cas and also worked perfectly. this one specific cas is giving me issues, i could move on but i would like to figure out for future reference.

yes i reset the dashboard before connecting the CAS back. i even made another key just incase the key was giving the mileage, but same issue. i just dont get why this specific cas is retaining its original mileag no matter which programmer i use to reset it.

Hi Cniksor,

When you say "mileage won't reset" do you mean the write operation is unsuccessful? Or it keeps jumping back to whatever it was? Also, do you write to it through some sort of CAS plug or wires soldered on?
