Hi, I may think I've bricked the Vw Golf 6 1.6 TDI ECU... I've tried to unlock for my first time ever. Had bought Kess, Ktag and FGTech, and BDM Stainless steel frame including 22 adapters. One adapter was named pcr2.1 and I tried that one. Unfortunately I saw afterwards, that everything on this adapter was wrong!
So to my question... I have made backup by Kess, but now I can't communicate with the ECU, have even tried VCP PRO licensed...
Any suggestions?

I'm very thankful for any help!

Someone who know which number I can use for replacing my ECU? Do all numbers need to be the same, as HW and SW number?

HW number must be the same.

Okay, so I have to have the "ML" at the end, but do the SW number have to be the same? What about the flash file from Kess? Will it be problem for immo

If you only have kess for this work sure immo is not your only problem. Replace pcr2.1 ecu need some other advanced tools.

Smok? Avdi? Original tools of course. Adapt used pcr2.1 to another car is not piece of cake.

I know it's not piece of cake. Therefore I am asking about HOW TO DO IT...
I have originally tools like VCP PRO. But do I have to buy one of the tools you mentioned?

I think the other hardware number must be the same: E.g. H13, H23, etc...

Everything else can be reflashed.

Use 9971 or 9972 SW versions for this ECU - they work the best

Okay, thank you. But when I can't read /communicate with my ECU, then this will be a problem....
