dont find problem, read it with ktag on boot and use the readout to write by obd

my ktag can not read edc17c74 before worked with edc17c64 but this ecu can not read knows the problem?

If you messed with the ecu and couldn’t read write, and now car doesn’t start then you most probably fried ecu :(

did not cause any short circuit in the reading and simply gave a message saying that it did not identify the unit and that it spoke with the support ...

Not all sw versions are possible with K-TAG.
I have burned 1, read ktag , write ktag and ecu was dead.

Then i write the MPC what u read from ktag clone with kess geniune obd and car start.

Read is possible, doesnt write, or maybe checksum cannot calculate with ktag.

Check if you have communication with ecu vcds kess or other tool, if yes we can recover.

Hi you use GPT to read this ecu ?
I have read & write two EDC17C74 with K-tag 2.25 7.020 without problem, the ecu number is same but for 1.6TDI 110 & 120ch of 2015

It's possible to write the ori and mod (from ori) on the EDC17C74 with KessV2 2.47 5.017 ?
This leave a trace on car or ecu after flash via OBD with Kess ? Don't have any info about it :confusion:

the unit has no communication with any tool in the car by obd ktag not read the unit or try to write it and opened it very carefully not to damage the pcb not what could be the cause of the failure
