Hi all,
I am looking for a repair manual for the Siemens PPD (1.3) ECU.
Due to a failed BDM read the ecu no longer communicates and I am hoping it is simply going to be a blown fuse, resistor or mosfet...
Does any body have such a thing as a service / repair manual or is knowledgeable enough in the unit to offer assistance in repairing?

First of all you need to power up ecu on bench and measure current consumption.if it take's more than 500mA or mpc gets hot you need to replace it.

Hi Cristi_bv,
Thank you for your reply.
Ok, ECU powered up and consumption is 507mA measured with a Fluke 175. The MPC is getting slightly warm under the writing in the center of the chip but not hot as if one could not touch it.
MPC knackered? How difficult is it to replace?
My SMD soldering skills are still developing and I have never turned my hand to BGA...

If you put bdm head backwards then 99% you got now fried MPC.

If it takes that current steady then mpc is dead.you either change mpc or another ecu.if you have proper tools it's not that difficult.

Thank you all for your input.
I'm currently looking for a second hand ECU, Am I correct in thinking the immobilizer data is stored in the 25320 Chip?
This information can be read over car prog or the likes and the SKC or PIN extracted?

Easiest way for me is to swap flash and eep.

I assume the flash is the 25320 and the eeprom AM29BDD160GB?
Is there a possibility the data in these chips is also lost?

Am29 is flash and 25320 is eprom.software should be ok,i don't think the memories are broken.

Thanks Cristi, Just got an identical ECU for £50 so hopefully I will change the flash and eeprom over and all will be well again :D
I also ordered optican 201 adapter for the future as I see people having good results with this bdm pin setup.

New ECU arrived today, Flash and EEPROM switched over and car runs perfectly :D
So now I need to safely take a bdm image to turn the DPF off.
Does any one know the pin configuration for the siemens adapter that comes with some versions of BDM100?

Does any one know if this is correct?
