Hi to DK....

I wanted to ask if somebody, has an device sheet or an wiring diagram for connecting ATMEGA162 to the Fuesfix
(microcontrollerprog com) or/and to avrdragon.

I am searching now hours on net,google,avrfreaks,DK,avr....no result.

I am reaaly needing this even no offcial stuff but if someone has had positive results whit its wiring, just post...

THX to DK:listen:

I think that he chose the wrong fuses and can`t read mega via SPI now.He need HVparallel programmer now.

look here and try to find an analogy

Thats it....I have some locked atmega162 from some interfaces....i put new atmegas in to make them work.

But all time pay more than 15 euro to get 1 atmega162,i think it will be better reset the fuses.

I have the avrdragon and the fusefix, hacking i dont know how to do,will be happy reseting my fuses if i find connection sheet...

Hammer isnt so bad i think....will have a look this afternoon.

THX

Do you know about to hack atmega162?

Me not,if you have some advice, share it...DK will thank for.

Check this - AVR studio_STK500 connection for HV programming.

I use the STK 500 to reprogram them in High Voltage and work fine for me

Specally thx to Vares:party:

I finaly made it,not so easy for complete newbee.

1. In Instructions for FuseFix is write to wire up atmega like for HVPP (20 pins)

in effective i had to compare the atmega162 DIP with the atmega162 TQFP44 an wire up ALL PINS!

2. Bought an low cost DIP/QTFP44 adapter (60USD)
This adapter was faultly connected,pin18 was short to VCC:hmmmm2:

After this 2 modifications worked great.

Can enable now with fusefix disabled fuses of atmega without deleting the content....will give a try tomorrow.

In attach some pics of adapter and FuseFix V2.0

Marry Cristmas!
My congratulations.
Step by step you will be AVR freak.

After lot of experimenting,i can say that restoring the SPIEN Fuse on atmega162 with lockbits set, does not change secutity of content, because SPIEN Fuse will be restored only if lockbits are not set.

If lockbits are set,you need delete entire content to restore SPIEN Fuse.

You cannot read atmega162.

A simply Paralel programmer as i use now,an advantech intelligent universalprogrammer U48 XP can not read protectect content in atmega162.....

I dont know if there is poeple out there using the AVRDragon from ATMEL?

I have 2 of these tools.

1st is wired up for ISP Debugwire and HVSP with pinheaders, i checked hundres of times wires and lines, and i can read nothing with it....no voltage is read,no signature is read.......

If withe the same lines on atmega,i change only from avrdragon to usbasp avr programmer (fischl.de)....i read signature:hmpf:....so its not my lines

2nd is wired up with 40 pin zif socket for HVPP,i cannot read the 40 pin PDIP and not 44TQFP....same problem,no voltage is read,no signature....

The wires and lines must be good, because using my homemade TQFP44 adapter on my advantech programmer, everything works great.

Is it possible that i buy 2 avrdragon, and the 2 pieces are brocken.

Has anybody same experiance.

Thanks.

Are the necessary voltages of 12 V and 5V are available?
Does it onboard or incircuit?
AVR Dragon a very fearful of static electricity!!!

Hi Vares.

Its onboard.

5 volt shure, the 12V? avrdragon cant supply 12V,so i have to supply this from other source?

Which pin has to receive 12V? every vcc pin, right?

But on isp,i have the same prob.

I wire up dragon reads target 4.8V when i read signature, target shows 0,2V

What can i do against of static electricity!

Regards.

12v is on Reset pin only for HV programming, for ISP 5v.
It is delivered by programmer himself.Target Vcc does not fall !
It is probably something wrong with the connections, MC or programmer.
I know a man who threw a 3 pieces of trash in its negligence.
Static El. risks can hide in:
PC is not grounded (especially Desk PC)
Synthetic materials and fabrics on the floor and also, wear clothes.

Hi.

I wanna post here my updated adapter for TQFP44 package of atmega162,the first worked but was not really nice.

Have made in sandwich order,so i can open in case of problems.

Wired up comparing datasheet of atmega site for atmega162

Work fine on my now updatet

advantech intelligent universal programmer

which can now write micros too and works on USB and Paralell Port....just a little slower on USB as on LTP.

you dont need to have allt this trouble to unlock an atmega just connetc 1MHZ frenquencie (ex with upa)to XTAL1 and program it normally in ISP.

External clock woks only for wrong clock fuses and can`t help reset spien fuse.

Hi zecas. Thx for helping, but before writing something into an threat, read signature, who wrote it.

And then, dont write that answer to the same member...

As i know i postet the 1mhz clock trick here with instruction when to use,and as vares says,it dont gonna work for SPIEN fuse, set in HV in paralell mode,because....in ISP you cannot enable or disable the SPIEN fuse....

it is not a trick its explained in the atmega datasheet
drop the arrogance, i was just trying to help
