Volkswagen golf 1.6 dash - parking brake beeping.

Hello mates

I have this golf 2005 VDO siemens dash, and when I turn on ignition brake light is on all the time. when running the car starts beeping because of this.

I have checked all sensors and switches and they are fine.

And this signals go to dash and I think this one is handle them.

Which light you mean in dash or back light?

check handbrake switch, will beep if this switch is not released

Is it beeping when you gi faster then 20km? Or is it doing the same when standing?

Thank you very much for your answers, it is doing it when faster than 20km/h, but standing the car has already the handbrake dash lamp already on, the handbrake switch is tested and working fine.

Use multi meter on this pin when you power your cluster on bench, if it's 5v or 12v then it's considered as high, so it is pulled up... Then issue is with cluster itself.

It is pin 6 for handbrake warning switch
