Is it installed in original car?

Ok, lets assume the radio acts like Chrysler units when installed in not original car, so try following codes:

6047
7147
0446
8068
0044

and 1234 too

and report on results here!

Good to hear that.

So, the code is asked not by radio module (Z serial), but by display module with V serial.
So, every time we see Z serial we ignore it and try to find another module with M,V etc serials to unblock the audio system.

The only question now is why it asked for the code, was it replacement unit?

Normally they do not require codes if installed in original car. Isn't it?

Yes, you are right for control unit with Z serials no code is required, but user says there is a display unit in this audio system with V serial and it asked for the code...

The question is why it asked for the code?

The only reason is probably it is replacement unit and asks for the code if radio is installed in not original car, like it is done for Chrysler modern radios.

We just need user to confirm this.

Hi,
Radio is original from the car, it have same VIN number and there is no fault codes.
Problem start when I try to program new key, when I try to program, incode-outcode calculation wash wrong. So I disconect battery, remuve the instrument panel and write the transponder directly in instrument. After I conect the battery, radio ask for code.
So I start to serching for new radio, and I notice that display unit have a sticker simular to the radio with V code, I caluculate and code was OK.
That all

Thank you for this info.

I guess "removing instrument panel" caused the radio anti-theft system activation and not the simple battery disconnection... very interesting, since never seen ford mk7/mk8 owners complaining that radio asks for code after battery disconnect.

Also what is intersting is that when I try to program key, I was useing Avdi - incode outcode calculation fail, Smart pro also incode fail.
Meybe the car have some other settings or software.

Hi
Very interesting thread. Unfortunately, I faced the issue with "blocked" Z series radio in my Ford Focus Mk3 2011r. Radio is Sony AHU, Part no: BM5T-18C815-RE and it's serial no: Z007215. After sucessfull firmware upgrade of PDM&DDM (doors modules) my vehicle started to ask for the 'Radio code'. After reading this thread I've checked the display numbers and they are: Part no: AM5T-18B955-CG, serial no: B6F00V032753. Based on J-SKy 'V' code generator, code for V032753 is 5229 (please confirm guys). I've tried to put this code but it's incorrect :(
WHat's intersting, someone from Facebook told me "try code 9668" and... it works but only untill next radio power off/power on cycle. When radio is restarted it asks for code again. I have no idea why 9668 temporary unblocks my radio (it wasn't calculated based on my serials). Does anyone of you guys how can I solve this issue? Putting radio code everytime I starting my car is a little bit irritating. Maybe I should do some 'factory reset' or radio/display reprogramming? Any hints are appriacated

Hello
@carradio2001 - thanks for you effort and for the code. Unfortunately it isn't correct. I've found on UCDS forum that this radio doesn't have any 'PIN Code' protection and problem is with FCDIM module (display module) and firmware of this module needs to be flashed (I'm almost ready to perform this operation). Issue was caused by another module update (DDM in this example) with UCDS "Update wizard". Now I know that using "Update wizard" of UCDS application isn't very safe and operation can break the FCDIM firmware. I will inform you about the results.
Thanks for all your help guys!

OK, problem finally has been fixed. As previously said, PIN code wasn't in the radio itself but in FCDIM module (main display, connected to 'radio' module). I've tried with firmware flashing/upgrading but without any result. Finally, I found that original UCDS application has option 'Disable MFD4 Keycode Security" in FCDIM tab and this solved my problem permanently. Procedure took just few seconds but the main problem was with original UCDS app :) Fortunately I had an access to this software. Hope that this info will save somebody's time and nervous :) Thanks for all your help guys
