No ,a3 and pribably im sure 99% a1 clusters need full setup to wake it up.

For which reason they need Wake up?

They dont have KL15 dor wakeup via 12V.
Wakeup via CAN only!
Same like A3, Q3

In general yes. Only issue when you have working key it will be as akl.

Yes. But why you want do it on bench like other nec-s? Only diffrence that dash will be dark and you cant add transponder via coil on bench. But even when you use coil learning enough will be put dash back to car and turn ign on with new transponder/key.

Preparat eeprom, acess clusters on bench, make dealer key and add to immo. For remote repat learn procedure with already working Key to avoid abs coding lost.

If abs coding is lost can it be sorted out?

Many things can be sorted but why to make live more complicated?

Its mean more likely that something with eeprom is wrong. Did you choose on vvdi that it is akl? When no did you write orginal eeprom backup?

I wrote this to the prom and put back on the PCB,
Then wrote original back using vvdi2, read the conf, added key.
I added second key using the cars own reader with cluster connected

Why you didnt follow advices? Its on story coding? Probably fastest will be to do it via odis online.

Did you stored orginal coding before? When you prepare e2 then vin change in immo and when other modules see vin mismatch they delete coding as side effect.

Sounds like car must go to dealership now

- in future copy abs coding before hand just-in-case

I think abs coding numbers are in the read boot, vvds can code abs.

I use obdstar, i made backup of abs coding, then remove cluster and read eeprom(24c64) via bench, then i created service config and write to eeprom. I put cluster back in car and try writing original immo dump, but car asking for valid key. Do i need a virgin id48 chip or audi precoded chip?

Got it working. The procedure goes as followed:

Using OBDSTAR 300X

Put ignition on with new key
Make backup of abs code
Remove speedo(make sure key is still in ignition, on position)
Read 24c64 eeprom chip using clip (might need to read full dump under "eeprom" tab) and save it as orig.bin
Create service file using full dump and write to eeprom via clip
Reinstall speedo
Write full dump(orig.bin) via obd
Read immo data and save
Finally make oem key

Now you should have a working key. If not, use 'add key' option. You might need to follow this procedure straight after making oem key (while ignition is still on from that session).

In all this procedure the ignition must remain in 'on' position, despite taking speedo out, otherwise it wont work.
