Hello forum,
I read a Bosch H6.2 ECM with Ktag clone. It gives reading successfully completed at the end, but when I save the file I get a checksum error. If I attempt to write the file with the checksum error, it will proceed with writing.
I read a Bosch HK.2 and it saves correctly with no checksum error. I have also read a Bosch ME7.1 with no checksum problem. This makes me think computer settings are ok.

I see the H6.2 is 257 KB, while the HK.2 is 260 KB. Could someone explain possibilities why I am getting a checksum error? Would it matter if I install the file into a donor ECM with the checksum error? Could it be a problem
with the processor? It is a AM29F800BB processor in both the H6.2 and HK.2 ECM.

Thank you for reading.

Update---Software in ECM was corrupted. Cloning software to another ECM caused it malfunction the same way. Used VIDA for to reload original ECM and car was repaired. Battery cable was removed while car was running. I think that is what corrupted software.
