BMW 5 Series E60 2010 - all keys lost

Hi All,

Sorry for the open ended question - I just don't want to exclude any options as I know you guys are the experts.

2010 E60 All Keys Lost.

I want to code a key for it, or at least be able to get it moving - without having to resort to a dealer/getting an auto locksmith out, i'd like to fix it myself.,

What is my best option, and most reasonably priced option?

I haven't bought any tools yet - this will be my first project.

Please let me know if there's anything vital I've not told you.

Especially for this BMW will be expensive first project
You will need some expensive tools
Tango + Good tool to read DME
or
BMW Explorer

I feel like i might have bitten off more than I can chew.. however If there is a way and I can afford it i'd like to try :)

I saw a Tango on obdsvs dot com for US$319 -
It says it covers "BMW CAS Keyless Go key maker, BMW CAS remote key maker, BMW CAS unlock and write locked with unknown password transponders PCF7943&PCF7944 key maker"
Would this be suitable? or lacking?

I have access to a KTM100 - would this be suitable for reading the DME?

Are there any rough guides online to try - I also have an E90 (with keys) would it be advisable to 'practice' on this?

A Tango for that price will not be an original. I would advise against using a copy. You have already been given the best solution which is to call a locksmith. If you want to get into making keys I would start with something easier as practice. Get some old immoboxs from wreckers and start from there.
