I have a quick question - if I want to use a working ESM from a different car on my 2002 S430, can I just move the EEPROM chip (93C56) from my ESM board onto this new board? My old board gives DAS authorization OK and the car can start but it seems that the MCU chip (1D69J) does not detect position of the gear switch. Thank you very much!

Thank you! Will do this over weekend. I also tried to connect the new module as is - there is an expected DAS P1925 error but the car actually starts OK
