Hi.

Was wondering if it is possible diagnose and coding old kline control units like bas-esp from g 270 (463.322) with the xentry passthru and a tactrix openport 2.0

Is there any trick to make it work on old kline units?

I can only connect with engine ecu and i guess it is CAN.

Trying to connect to bas-esp unit give a fault “cannot change multiplexor mode” or something similar.

Is possible or not?

Ps: tried also with ford vcm2 and exactly same result as with tactrix.

Thanks

Installed Xentry Diagnostics PassThru OpenShell 2018-12 on a Win7 Professional X64, the VCM2 passthru drivers got installed when install main packet, i just plugged it
and was recognised as valid pssthru device. For the openport i installed drivers from tactrix page.

I read somewhere that one person had access to all units with a mongoose in passthru mode, or at least was what i understtod when i read. So that made me think that maybe there is a software trick to enable K-line modes in passthru, not just CAN.

Thanks for answering ;)

For older vehicles and programming that requires hhtwin it has to be installed on a 32 bit machine. If installed on a 64bit you can only do diagnostics etc but no programming, apparently there is a workaround but have to install 32bit on a virtual machine and the copy files but not tried it
