original truecode knows 3 of the bad bcm , it will read the bccm first automatically and tell you what bcm is fitted and if one of the bad ones , smart pro reads the bcm and warns you if one of the 2 bad ones it knows of , you can read the bcm serial number with abrites to check if one of the bad bcm units, you wont cause any issues reading bcm , so wise to do so before you progress to key programming .
the known bcm to avoid are listed on the forum somewhere as well as on the truecode forum and on the AD forum

Don't rely on the list! It's not complete, and there are lots of omissions. AD know of a few and Chris at trucode knows a few, but it's not complete! There are others still out there that haven't been identified yet.

yes theres still some that have not been identified , also there are some bcm that have worked for same and killed others on same bcm , so what ever you do its a lottery , at the end of the day you have to decide if its worth the risk and if your pockets are deep enough and you make enough profit to pay for the one that gets bricked.

Info from the TDB1000 developers:
Investgations have confirmed, that there is a possible issue with a certain batch of BCM's.
This issue will not allow I-keys to be coded in.
If the last 2 digits of the BCM part number end in 0A, 1A, 2A, 3A or 4A.
It may not be possible to code keys in.
NOTE - This may NOT affect, all vehicles/BCM with 5A or newer. These are all OK.

508 and 608 use the same soft so no reason to be different
