Dose anybody know how to map a BMW X1? Tried flashing but car with kess v2 but won't start, re flashed origanal and starts again. Take it something to do with TPROT? Thanks

Yes unless you have autotuner or some of the new genuine tools

How did you get the original file? OBD VR read or direct OBD read?

Check Internet site bitbox...
Check if they cover your edc17...
When yes, they have VR and you can write it by obd...
You need EENET cable and bitbox stick...
