2014 DS3 won't decode properly
Decodes as AECEAC
But only works occasional in ignition. Every 30 trie or so.

As I know DS series use VA6 profile. Try bittings 4 3 3 3 4 2 under 1234...HQ series. And next time please post better quality photo (I think quality is OK but picture is to small)

i agree 433342 , buy a lish va6 4 lifter tool and you wont have to keep putting up pictures when stuck at a job
your code of AECEAC will cut the correct shape of key , but the height differences on 4 cuts ie the AE cuts in 4 positions will make it a very rough key as you have found , the c cuts are the only cuts that exactly match the 1234Q5678H series , the single lift 6 height tool is the wrong tool for the job , the key can never be exact due to the height differences , it will always be a rough key , buy and use the correct 4 lifter va6 tool and cut it on the correct series on ic card 1126 and you will always cut the right key first time and in minutes.

Tried the 4 lifter today on DS opened the car in a couple of minutes but decode was badly out. Only had 1/2 hour to play with it between jobs.
My decode was
3H536H
Decoded original key on A9
755661
Need to crack decode as lifter was smack in middle of lines and others were user error 😬
Any pointers for decode Rapid ?
Back to the practice car tomorrow afternoon

same direction as you pick each position , gentle , push along line so soft that you stop when contact is made with the wafer , then gently increase pressure and push past the spring until arm stops and read from the correct grid as indicated by the arrows on lifting arm , it really is that simple . too heavy handed and you can push past the position , too heavy handed while picking , ie too much tension to bind wafers so you have to use pressure to pick them and you will warp the pick snibs and get miss reads . its a delicate instrument and should be treated as such .
no way on earth did you read 3H536H , for one theres no h reading on the tool , if h it would be 8 , from the machine decode you could also cut 244338 and cut same key depending which lift arm was used for each position you should have read
pos 1 - 7 or 2
pos 2 - 5 or 4
pos 3 - 5 or 4
pos 4 - 6 or 2
pos 5 - 6 or 2
pos 6 - 1 or 8
so looking at your decode of 3H536H it looks like you read position 1 as a 6 instead of 7 , position 2 as an H? instead of 4 , position 3 you read right as 5 and 4 cut the same cuts , position 4 you read correct as 3 and 6 cut the same cuts , position 5 you read correct , position 6 if by H you read 8 then it was correct as 8 and 1 cut the same cuts , so all your issues were on position 1 and 2 , so i suspect you read these from the wrong grid for the lift arm

you mean the machine decoded 755661 as you said in last nights post as if it decoded 775661 then its decoded wrong and differently to yesterday ?
on what you decoded on machine last night and i suspect today 755661 then this will cut the same key as 745338 both are identical key

Your right Rapid
Read one of your articles on HU92 only got the pick last week and havent had a chance to try it. Then Sods law phone rang a family locked keys in boot of a 320i BMW.
Arrive at job sun shining and everyone outside the pub knew car was locked as guy owned it had half the pub trying to get into it. They then started taking bets I couldnt open it.
No pressure then 😰
Followed your picking sequence was into it in around 3 minutes.
Just as well or Id of looked a right knob 😬
