View Full Version : VIA AC`97 DRIVER

Hi had to reinstall widows to the pc but now i have no sound i am looking for via ac`97 drivers but having no luck can anyone help me out. it is a packard bell pc starting to drive me up the wall loads of sites but they all pay reg to get anything done i dont have the motherboard disc which would have made this alot easyer

download sisoft sandra its free. take look at what mainboard you have and go to its website. et voila! all the drivers you'll need.

update using manual driver update and select windows update server and it will install via ac97 drivers no problem !! they are a very common driver. failing that search download.com you will find them there.

hi. had the same problem myself yesterday....had to reinstall windows on a packard bell pc..an OLD one.. not listed on the PB site. i just looked for another model that had the ac 97 drivers available to download and used them. free, didnt have to register and works fine.
