VAG CAN PRO VCP

Hi guys! I searched the forum but couldn't find something about the VCP. I intend to buy a VCP copy(5.5.1) but first I want to hear some reviews from other users. I need the VCP for eeprom read/write for some modules, pin code reading, some codings(I also use VCDS) and I want to know how good it works. Found copies from 25 to 50 euros, are there different qualities or is just the seller's profit? My biggest concern is about working without the risk of making any damage to the car I put it on.

I used to read and delete error codes, read the measured values of the motor. I also use OCF, read pin code EDC 15 and 16, read mileage edc 15 and 16 ET.C. However, not all OCF functions work in VCP + K (5.5.1) For the coding and adaptation for me, VCD$ is better.
There is little information on the internet about VCP.

Consider it is worth to get for 25/50eur 1/8 or 1/4 orginal tool price with cutted funcionality. You have no support at all, no access to bugfixes, no access to zdc, no access to any reputable forum with hints.

For a price of 10-20 dollars it is worth having it as a supplement to vcds. It is also worth due to the OCF functions. (although not all work)

VCDS is unable to do important things from point where VAG ended with coding as only part of module configuration. It started around 2009.

Just buy original one. It very very good tool. with full support and updates, all working functions, with zdc files library, etc. There are also plugins for EDC 16, EDC 17 flash, ESP Coding and VIM Manager. This tool is reasonably priced, you`ll get your money back very quickly.
VCDS is completely different tool, it`s mainly optimized for diagnostics and coding only. VCP for more advanced jobs, retrofits, EEPROM access, etc.
