Mazda 6 2009 2.2 Diesel Keyless key detect problem.

Hello all members I have a Mazda 6 here 2009 2.2 Diesel with a keyless fault. The vehicle has one of the inteligent key that does not appear to be getting detected by the vehicle. I have read the transponder and it reads fine the central locking works. But when you put the clutch down and try and start it the vehicle the key symbol is displayed on the dash and start button is red. I have taken the cover off the igniton key hole and insterted the emergency key but it is the same. I have seen a few posts littered on the internet with similar problems indicating its a issue with the electronic ignition (which is quite expensive around £750!) has anyone any experience with it at all? I cant get the ignition on to pull any codes any advice appreciated.
