If you suspress error codes... the mechanical failure isnt fixed.
So better change the parts which broken mate.

Chain is new, so is tensioner, this dtc pops up after oil change and dissapears like 3-4kkm after oil gets older.
Vehicle runs fine, without any problems

So if you know its tensioner... why dont you change em?

Thanks for poping up my thread, i wrote that chain and tensioner are both new original, if you cant help me then leave this thread alone...

You should be more nicer people might help you, like the man said do the job properly and fix the fault may be you should leave the oily bits to those who no ,

Vehicle owner doesnt want to use oem specific 5W30 oil, instead of this he uses some sort of 5w40 so thats probbably the problem, when engine is hot basic setting for VVT runs out without any problems and shows that everything is fine, this error pops out few times in month, timing marks are alligned, everything is fine, owned doesnt want to spend extra money on soleonid or actuator gear, so this is probbably the cheapes fix,
And as i said vehicle run perfectly, no noises or power problems.

If this was my vehicle i`d fix it till i get the result and i`d use specific oil...
In this case this is the only option owned chooses, why not let him to do that?
