just want to share my experience with my KESS RED CLONE 5.017 bought on alie.....

Just bought it for my own family cars for testing different maps.
System Type Number: R4 2.0l PPD1.5 G
READ on CAN OK -> Takes approx 10 mins
Write on CAN OK -> Takes Approx 5 Mins
Flashed file without CheckSum -->OK
Got some message after flashing telling me: " Device is locked, please contact..." -> just dont care seems to be a bug... read and write a few times alter that without problems
System Type Number: EDC16U34 03G906021AB
Read on CAN OK -> takes 20 mins
Write on CAN OK takes 10 mins
Write without Checksum -> OK
System Type Number: DELCO 0109355289 - OLD 1999 ECU
Read OK -> Checksum failed -> reread 5 times -files keeps the same and CS fails everytime - never tried to exchange te DLL's maybe that helps...
my procedure:
battery always on charger
when reading and kess is searching for ecu and wants you to turn on and off dashbord - i never do that - before writing i turn of dashboard once and then keep it on till it has finished!
i always read flash 2 times before i flash with kess - after reading 2x i do a filecompare of both read files( i never had differences so far) and after that i start writing.
so far so good - never had any issues
