Is it possible that Keyless system failing on door handle and remote.
If accessing with knob on door handle, with working key. And at the same time. Have new un-programmed key in your pocket. When doing so.
Experienced some weird behaviour with this. The remote would not work either. But after a while when going away with new key. Original started to work. But very slow, after pushing button several times.
Hit and miss. Sometimes work and sometimes not. I suspect the maybe was some error in the system already. Maybe some weak signals.

Then do the programming. Add one extra key.

Older Toyota 2007-2012 EU. Smart key.
Remote worked both of them maybe 3 times after programming. And then none worked.

Until I deleted some DTC's. Then the original worked. A couple of times.
Until picked up the new Prox (which was some distance away), and tried the same thing. Then both failed.

Now both keys starts, with touching button. But not Keyless.

I didn't remover 12V battery + or - cable, at that time. I did not have the time to do more research. I have to go back and try to sort it out.

Something familiar experience ?
I guess I need to do sync. To make the Keyless up and going.

It is possible for door sensors to fail. Especially if you have two signals next to each other in your pocket. I'd try the reset before concluding anything.
