Hi all,

ive just picked up a Iprog clone and having a play with it..

I have a 2012 camry cluster , wired up as per iprog instructions. Iprog certainly take a while to read and then say error.

Is there something i am missing ...

I have connected the same as picture but without the switch.. iprog instructions has no switch for camry and cant see what difference it would make anyway

I have tried both ways but is dash supposed to be powered up while you do it or not?

Quicker work doesn't mean better work. I always prefer to remove eeprom before reading.

Experience will teach you!Or you could just explain it? As mentioned at the beginning of the post I haven't used the UART method before and looking for some guidance

With the eeprom removed from the board, you stand less of a chance corrupting the eeprom than you do reading in circuit. Reading in circuit is fine if you know what your doing and know the risk.

Hi I bought an Iprog clone too. Playing with it but can't seem to make it work. Do you need to power it up with an external power supply or just the USB?

Hey fellow members,

i have bought a similar machine. i have successfully done Mazda CX5 via obd2, Toyota Corrolla 2018 via obd2 and other eeproms via the eeprom adapter..It doesnt work with the UART connector.

What do you use with obd2 if you are not using the UART connector?

i can get the iprog to read eeprom directly so no issues here , its just the uart method doesnt seem to function... The 2013 rav4 eeprom is so tiny now ,using uart would be great if it can be done??

anyone have any experience with clone uart connection iprog?

iprog + clon uart worcking onli with ukrainan adapter with svich 100%Iprog Clone works on UART adapter modified with relay inside, no need to switch on/off the power, the relay will do it. just plug power supply at Iporg Hardware DC input and click read or write. it will automatically switch the power
I have iprog clone clone also,
Tested on Fujitsu MCU Via OBD cable, no need to take out the dash, tested on Honda KIA, Hyunda fujitsu via OBD

Also tested to some ford via OBD.

Check the output from the iprog clone to see if you are getting the expected voltages. Seems some clones gives voltages that are not appropriate. You will find the expected voltages on this site itself

Would it be possible for you to share the detail connections of your diy uart? How did you make it with the relay.

Thanks
