Hi All,

I am new to this forum and forums in general. I owned the starview 2 and just bought the starview super usb but am having trouble setting it up. I think i need to flash it with the new firmware on this site. This might be a stupid question but i am not allowed download it even after registering. Any ideas why?

Takes a while before you can download but you should be able to now, if not shortly. But after downloading stick around there is plenty of info here you may require.

On my starview it says i am on version 1.03? Can someone tell me how 1.02 is the latest... I am new to all this so, please excuse me if it's a stupid question..

1.03 is FTA only which it is shipped with. You need to flash with either 1.01 or 1.02 to get other channels.

hi have tried both downloads for starview 4 usb. goes on stick and shows on box but when i press ok nothing happens. please help

The file in downloads contains the firmware, logo and other files in a winrar format. Have you used winrar to unpack it first?

Google winrar, download it. After installing winrar you can extract the files from the firmware download you got here. There is a file called readme with the folder. Read that for instructions on how to flash your SV4.

im totally new to this. had my box in september, managed to download the software and its been working. now today its updating. my mums is the same and so is my uncle. according to my box i have version 8.
are we all in same boat in uk? how will i know when we arent? i m totally stuck!!! help!!!!!

Stick this f/w on a flash drive along with the logo file mate and plug it into your box, Install it off the usb, Then go to menu key in 1570 turn on keycode and scan. Job done! :)

Hi there, it depends which box u have, i've got the Starview 4, The Box Super USB, Download - ( _V1.02_beta.BIN ) then -(Logo_080904) onto ure usb stick, then onto ure box via usb stick & carry on as usual. Good Luck, i hope this works 4 u!..... :celticscarf:

No this is an old firmware revision use 1.07 for the UK or 1.09 if you are in Ireland. You will find links to both at the top of this section in the red stickies.

I've downloaded the firmware and flashed the box, but I have no option to turn the EMU on in menu 1570

You don't need new firmware mate you can simply reset and rescan turn Emu back on when done just like you did when you first got it ;)

this firmware is old and possibly wont work,sv4 needs v1.12 for original boxes,factory reset and a fresh scan.
